

Mr. Bergeron joined the firm in 2002 after graduating Magna Cum Laude from the Albany Law School of Union University. At Albany Law School, Mr. Bergeron received the Patrick B. McNamara Prize, awarded to the student with the highest overall grade in the field of labor law.
Before joining Satter & Andrews, Mr. Bergeron worked as a Law Clerk at New York State United Teachers, Office of the General Counsel (2000-02) and at United University Professions (1999). He was admitted to practice in state and federal courts in New York in 2003. Mr. Bergeron's work at the firm is concentrated in the areas of union representation and individual employee rights, as well as education law. He has represented unions in both the public and private sectors. Mr. Bergeron also advises and represents individual employees on issues such as discrimination, whistleblower protection, non-competition agreements and professional licensing matters. With respect to education law, he is presently representing families and students regarding special education, disability accommodation, discipline, discrimination, and other matters impacting students' educational experiences.
Mr. Bergeron has presented papers at the joint NLRB/Cornell 2005 Recent Developments Conference ("Conservatizing U.S. Labor Policy: How Orchard Park and Holling Press Ignore the Realities of the American Workplace"); a joint seminar of the New York State Bar Association and Cornell University ("Employment Law for the General Practitioner"); and the National Employment Lawyers' Association Upstate Regional Conference ("Selected Employment Law Cases and Second Circuit Update"). Mr. Bergeron assisted with How To Take A Case Before The NLRB, Seventh Edition, First Supplement, Rocco A. Solimando, Esq., Senior Editor and is also a contributing author of the National Lawyers Guild's Employee and Union Member Guide to Labor Law.
Mr. Bergeron is a member of the New York State Bar Association, Labor and Employment Law Section; National Employment Lawyers' Association-New York; AFL-CIO Lawyers' Coordinating Committee; National Lawyers' Guild, Labor and Employment Committee; Council of Parent Attorneys and Advocates; Onondaga County and Syracuse City Democratic Committees; and the Working Families Party. He received the Distinguished Alumni Award at Clinton Community College in 2004.
In addition to practicing law, Mr. Bergeron enjoys music and traveling with his family.
